Wartsila Norway AS is a manufacturer, system integrator and product deliverer of process, machinery, electrical and control systems primary for the marine and offshore industry.

Main role and expertise: Wartsila will be responsible of the integration of the container into the vessel and lead System Integration and Demonstration of the Waterborne Transport Battery and EaaS Platform. This includes mechanical, electrical, control and safety systems as well as the preparation of the demo site, infrastructure analyses (grid, port, vessel among others) and deployment of the demonstrator onto the vessel and at the port. Moreover, Wartsila will develop standardized communication protocols that will ensure complying communication between different systems. Wartsila will also support the exploitation activities and bring in their long and broad commercial experience as an OEM to make sure the business model and developed services reflect the OEM end-user perspective.
