Main role and expertise: Blackstone will develop, produce and test Lithium-Ion battery cells produced with a disruptive technology. This disruptive Thick Layer Technology® is based on a 3D printing process which makes the production much easier and the energy density by 20% higher.. Blackstone will lead WP3 Development of the Waterborne Transport Battery Cell that is being optimized based on the disruptive 3D printing manufacturing process of the cells. Moreover, Blackstone will accompany the development phase from beginning to end and also integrate the feedback based on Lloyd’s and SPEAR recommendation regarding production process efficiency in the internal cell manufacturing processes. This will help Blackstone technology to evolve to the next TRL at a crucial step in scaling the start-up of the company.
